On December 8, in Ha Noi, the Student Forum 2020 was co-organized by EU – Viet Nam Energy Facility (EVEF) and the School of Electrical Engineering / Hanoi University of Science & Technology at Hanoi Club Hotel. The event was attended by nearly 150 students from 8 different universities to present their research proposals at the Forum. In addition, the Forum also welcomes Mr. Sven Ernedal – EVEF Project Director and Mr. Nguyen Huy Phuong – Director of the School of Electrical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science & Technology, as opening speakers.

In addition, there were 6 participants sharing different perspectives and experiences in the renewable energy industry, including:
Mr. Vu Minh Phap – Institute of Energy Science, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology shares about “Ninh Thuan Renewable Energy Center”
Mr. Bui Van Thinh from Thuan Binh Wind Power Joint Stock Company shared about “Phu Lac – Typical wind power project in Asia in 2017”
Ms. Ngo To Nhien from Vietnam Initiative for Energy Transition shared about “Vietnam Energy Policy Update”
Mr. Dinh Xuan Duc from the National Load Dispatch Center shared about “Technology and management solutions in ASEAN energy infrastructure connection”
Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong fromViet Nam Energy Institute shares about “Future of Renewable Energy in Vietnam’s Power System”
Mr. Nguyen Duc Huy from School of Electrical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science & Technology shared about “Training of renewable energy in Hanoi University of Science & Technology”

After a day of heated discussions, the Student Forum 2020 selected 15 of the best presentations from 66 presentations. These 15 presentations received attractive gifts including: medals, certificates of achievement and gifts for each member from the EU -Viet Nam Energy Facility (EVEF); certificates, gifts and internship opportunities for 5 months at VIET SE; gifts from AIT and Egird companies.
