On March 30, 2021, the Energy Efficiency Training for enterprises took place in Ho Chi Minh city. This is a part of the Capacity enhancement of Small Energy Efficiency Group (SEEG). The training session was held within the framework of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency project (4E), organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), with support of Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). More than 60 officers, engineers and technicians from 12 key energy companies in the South participated in the workshop.
The training was hosted from March 30 to March 31, 2021. During the session, participants got to know about energy conservation in large energy consuming systems such as lighting; heat system, steam system, local air conditioning system, industrial refrigeration system,… After that, they can make use of this knowledge to develop plans for an economical and efficient use of energy at their companies.
This is the first session from the series of training courses on the Small Energy Efficiency Group, which is organized by the 4E Project. Two more training workshops will be tentatively organized in Hanoi and Bac Ninh this April, including more than 90 officers, engineers and technicians from 18 key energy companies in the North.
Mr. Markus Bissel speaking at the event
At the workshop, Mr. Markus Bissel, Team leader of Energy Efficiency for the 4E project, said, “This training course is expected to provide some background knowledge for the Small Energy Efficiency Group of companies, in order to develop appropriate and practical energy consumption plans in business operation. Thereby, enterprises can both save costs and contribute to reducing emissions into the environment, towards green and sustainable development. “
Along with the Vietnamese socio-economic development, the energy demand is on the rise. Therefore, one of the most important solutions to ensure sustainable development is to use energy economically and efficiently. However, based on the current situation, the Vietnamese economy still faces many difficulties in implementing energy efficiency optimization solutions. As a result, the 4E Project hopes that the training will contribute to solving the obstacles related to business energy usage.
The Energy Efficiency training course is the first in the series of the Small Energy Efficiency Group (SEEG) program to support key energy users. With the aim of helping key energy consuming enterprises improve their capacity, identify energy saving solutions, and build an energy-saving culture in each business, the program supports staff in cultivating and supplementing the background and professional knowledge. In addition, trainers’ practical experiences will assist the trainees in implementing energy efficiency at factories.
After this training, companies will continue to be trained about the ISO50001 energy management system, and receive on-site technical support for a year to accomplish the Facility Energy Efficiency Action Plan (FEEAP). The program will also help businesses in implementing this plan, towards the goal of energy efficiency improvement.
